HOW TO BURY IMOGEN

by Yasmin Afifi

Ustinov Studio, Theatre Royal Bath October 2025

How to Bury Imogen is the darkly comic playwriting debut of BAFTA award winner Yasmin Afifi (Jellyfish and Lobster).

Daisy is a funeral director.

She has everything she's supposed to want. A steady career. A loving partner. A comfortable home. She's even trying for a baby. From the outside her life looks perfect.

Everything is great. Fine. Really.

Until Imogen dies.

AFTER SEX

by Siofra Dromgoole

Studio 2, Arcola Theatre July and August 2024

A lyrical, charged and sharply observed two-hander, After Sex follows the trajectory of a couple, told almost entirely through post-coital scenes about how the sex we have can change us.

“I’m just worried because I think what I’m being turned on by is the fact that you’re imagining a stable future with me, whereas what you’re being turned on by is the potential potency of your own sperm.”

DEAR LITTLE LOZ

by Lauren Nicole Mayes

theSpace @ Surgeon’s Hall, Edinburgh Fringe August 2022

Dear Little Loz is a poetic exploration of love - love for the scabby boys in Blackpool, dodgy dates with Dave and the desperate need for a daddy-daughter connection.

Love comes at a price but what are we willing to pay for it?

Could Loz be a mixture of all the men she’s ever met and the love she’s lost between them all?

What we attach ourselves to as a child might be the connection we search for our whole lives…

★★★★★

“It is amazing how Lauren-Nicole Mayes and Izzy Parriss Productions have created one of the best shows at Edinburgh Fringe using only two items: a stage block and a digestive biscuit.”

The Student

★★★★★

“To write that Dear Little Loz is an exploration of one woman’s search for love is to risk diminishing its scope, power and understanding of the human condition.”

Broadway Baby

★★★★

“Impressive stamina propels… fast-paced and bittersweet tale.”
